Description After the year 1945, family law was due to the politic decision embodied into a separate code, that was a work of the common Czechoslovak-Polish Commission. The need for unification has to be mention, too. In the sixties, this code was replaced by a new code based on ideological principles and institutions that were far from traditional ones. After the fall of communist regime in 1989, the code was cleaned from ideological principles and terminology. However, key changes are expected in connection with the recodification of the Civil Code as the basis of private law.
