Description The author demonstates the occurrence of the vocative in Greek, Latin and in Slavonic languages. The vocative (Voc)takes a special position among the other cases of the morphological paradigma. It indicates the recipient of a talk, usually a living creature, most frequently a person, whom the speaker addresses. In observed languages the Voc occurs in different manner. In some of them it is found almost consistently,in other ones the occurrence of Voc is limited, either partly, or totally.
