Description Death under different guises is an important and interesting in the works of Julius Zeyer, the Czech poet known as the most Francophile of all Czech authors of the second half of the nineteenth century. Zeyer found a great source of inspiration in medieval French literature. We pay our attention to a great poetic cycle entitled The Carolingian epic, based on twenty epics.
