Description | The article deals with the implementation of the health promotion into the physical education curricula at the basic school. In the text there are summarised results of three research projects made by the authors of the paper: results of a comparison of the physical education curricula in the Czech Republic, Germany and the USA; results of a research dealing with the opinion of the Czech Republic citizens on the educational content of physical education and results of a research dealing with opinions of the basic school children on the realisation of physical education instruction. The gained results confirm that primarily the health oriented physical education conception is declared in the Czech Republic. But the Czech citizens prefer sport and performance oriented conception of physical education, although they understand the health promoting role of physical activity. The research of the school practice confirm though, that the health conception of physical education is not carried out during the teaching process in the required amount and the sport oriented conception of physical education prevail. |
