Description | The author of the present informative and analytical contribution deals with the Czech-Slovene projects focusing on the general problems of literary comparative and genre studies and the 20th-century Slovene-Czech literary parallels. The projects produced several conferences, seminars and workshops and their outputs were published both in Slovenia and in the Czech Republic in literary periodicals, mostly in Primerjalna književnost and Slavica Litteraria. One of the results was the constatation that Czech-Slovene literary relations might become a useful basis for further theoretical generalizations and that many of the methodological impulses which came from both Slovene and the Czech side were half-forgotten under the impact of the Anglo-American literary thought. |
