| Description | This article gives some remarks on religious pilgrimages as an important social phenomenon in Qing time Mongolia, a special attention is paid to the pilgrimages to Wutaishan. It opens new questions as dating the beginning of the pilgrimages and formation of administrative duties and control linked to the pilgrims. |
