| Description | The anthology has three parts. The first part covers the period of ancient China and focuses on state cults of the period and their reflections in ancient Chinese texts (philosophical and historical). The second part includes selected texts concerning medieval taoist cults and Chinese buddhism. The third part consists of several texts related to the religious problems in contemporary China. |
