Description This article investigates the conceptions of citizenship, current social issues, and responsibility among majority and minority adolescents and young adults in Czech Republic. The age and ethnicity seems to play role in ascription of responsibility (to oneself or to the agents outside oneself) for the issues of discrimination, women’s rights, and environment. Results suggest positive relationship between ascription of responsibility to oneself and greater political interest and attentiveness, motivation to participate and sense of collective efficacy.
