Description | Field investigations were carried out during expedition Antarctica 2012 from January to March. Fifteen specimens of 5 notothenioid fishes were examined for parasites (prevalence 60%, intensity of infection 3–144, abundance 24, mean intensity of infection 41). They were caught with gillnets in sites in the Prince Gustav Channel in depth about 30 m. Cystacanths of species Corynosoma pseudohamanni were collected from Trematomus bernacchii, Gobionotothen gibberifrons and Notothenia coriiceps. Trematomus eulepidotus and T. newnesi were not infected. |
