The programme CAREER RESTART aims to create support for integrating researchers after a career break into Masaryk University research teams. The programme shall facilitate and speed up the return of young, talented researchers to productive academic career and increase their share in independent/leading research posts.
Basic information:
- Expected number of grants awarded: 12
- Annual budget: CZK 500 thousand
- Duration of funding: 2 years
- For example, the applicant is returning after a career break due to maternity/parental leave, long-term illness or long-term care of a close person.
- Primarily researcher whose last employer before career interruption was MU - cumulative time at least 0.5 FTE (PhD studies are equivalent to 0,6 FTE) - returning with minimum 0,5 FTE.
- Proof of completed Ph.D. studies;
- Return to work after 1 Januar 2023
Bonus criterion:
- He/she is the author (first, corresponding, or otherwise significant - depending on the specifics of the field) of at least one scientific publication indexed in a journal belonging to the first quartile of the field according to the impact factor in Web of Science or comparable scientific performance in fields whose domain is not Web of Science-indexed publishing.
Submitting of the project proposal:
- The project proposal will be submitted to the ISEP Project proposal editor - It is necessary to choose the template "Grant agency of MU: CAREER RESTART project (09. 09. 2024 - 18. 10.2024)".
- Consultation at PO, EO.
- Checking the proposal at OPP.
- Project proposal in PDF format including all attachments sent to OPP, responsible person enters it into ISEP under one serial number and starts approval of the guide.
- The applicant will be asked by an automatic email from ISEP to approve the proposal.
- The approval must be completed before the call closes.
