European Research Council (ERC)

Support for frontier research from novice to established scientists or research teams. Projects are generally five years in duration. Financial support ranges from EUR 1.5–10 million (depending on the individual competition).

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions aim to develop excellence through the cross-border mobility of researchers across sectors and disciplines. The mobility of researchers within or outside Europe is supported to facilitate their pursuit of excellent research, develop their skills and careers, and expand their networks in academia and beyond (including in research infrastructures).

Pillar 2 - Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness

Calls within Cluster 2 - Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society

The activities of this pillar aim to develop key technologies and solutions that will support the implementation of European policies, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. It will require bringing together end-users, scientists, technologists, manufacturers, educational institutions, policymakers, citizens, and civil society organizations. The specific priorities of each cluster are divided into so-called intervention areas. Within Cluster 2, these are (1) Democracy and Governance, (2) Cultural Heritage, and (3) Socio-Economic Transformation.

Crowdhelix Network is an open platform connecting researchers from over 450 universities, research institutions and businesses. The platform consists of more than 30 clusters (helixes).
