TAČR SIGMA - sub-objective 3 Promoting the innovative potential of social sciences, humanities and arts

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic has announced a public competition in the Programme for the Support of Applied Research and Innovation SIGMA - Sub-objective 3 - Support for the Innovative Potential of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts. The public competition of the SIGMA - DC3 programme is aimed at supporting project proposals that strengthen social sciences, humanities and arts (SHUV) in applied research and innovation activities and apply the outputs of these activities in the form of new or substantially improved products, procedures, processes or services.

The full terms and conditions and a description of a submition can be found in the Call for Proposals, which is available on the TACR website. For this competition, four main themes have been identified, which must necessarily be addressed in the project proposal. More information on this condition can be found in this document.

  • If interested in submitting these projects, please inform the Project Support Office as soon as possible, no later than 20th November 2024.
  • If you are aware that the topic of your potential project may involve ethics, you should inform the Research Ethics Committee, specifically Dr. Blanka Jančeková, as soon as possible. No later than 26th November 2024.
  • The Central Library offers assistance in ensuring that the principles of open science are met and in preparing a data management plan (DMP). If interested, please contact openscience@phil.muni.cz. In preparing project proposals, please do so before setting personal costs.
  • If you are unclear about the results and their applicability, you can contact the CTT, specifically Mgr. Hana Půstová.
  • For a successful submission of a project proposal, it is necessary to go through a process of internal checks:
    HR Department: until 27th November 2024 (Mgr. Milena Kameníčková, Mgr. Hana Richterová).
    Economic Department: until 2nd December 2024 (Michaela Jedličková Svobodová).
    The internal deadline for the final check before sending to the Project Support Office is set for 5th December 2024 (Dr. Libor Zajíc).
  • The end of the competition period is 13th December 2024.

The provider will host a webinar on this competition. It will take place on 6th November 2024 at 10.00. You can join at this link. Attendance is highly recommended for all.
