The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced a public competition in research, development and innovation in the TWIST programme, Subprogramme 1 "Applied Research in Strategic Areas".
Only industrial research and experimental development projects focused on the use and development of AI can be supported in the announced competition. The total amount of funding per project will not exceed EUR 30 million. The maximum amount of funding for the project is CZK 30 million, and it will not exceed 70 % of the eligible costs of the project. The limits set by the GBER Regulation for the type of beneficiary apply simultaneously to each applicant for a grant and to the other participants in the project. For research organisations, the aid intensity is limited to a maximum of 90 %.

The following restrictions apply to the timing of project submissions:

• Start of the project between 1 March 2025 and 1 September 2025,
• the maximum duration of the project is 24 months.

Only an enterprise that is a legal entity and has its registered office, place of business or branch in the Czech Republic with an assigned ID number can be a candidate for support. An enterprise belonging to the category of small and medium-sized enterprises may carry out the project alone or in cooperation with other project participants. Other project participants may be enterprises and/or research organisations.

The deadline for submitting a project proposal is 12th February 2025. The project proposal shall be submitted via the MIT TWIST AIS application.
