The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) is an organizational unit of the state and was established by law in 2009. It centralizes state support for applied research and development to contribute to achieving the Czech Republic’s strategic, economic and social goals. The programmes are focused on supporting cooperation between research organizations and enterprises, and the subsequent commercialization of results.
It will support the involvement of the social sciences and humanities in applied research, experimental development, and innovation projects that are beneficial for maintaining and enhancing the quality of human life in response to dynamic social, economic, globalization, cultural, or technological changes. The programme will support projects that focus on one or more of the following aspects:

This programme aims to support collaboration between academia and business through the involvement of students in Master’s and doctoral degree programmes at universities and young researchers up to the age of 35.
The minimum duration of projects in this programme is 12 months, with a maximum project duration of 24 months.

The KAPPA Programme to support applied research, experimental development and innovation (hereinafter referred to as the “Programme”) is financed by the EEA and Norway Grants and was approved by the Government of the Czech Republic by Resolution No. 308 of 16 May 2018. The minimum duration of projects in this programme is 24 months. The maximum period of projects is 5 years. All projects must be completed no later than 30 April 2024.
The programme is generally aimed at supporting international cooperation between entities from the Czech Republic and partners from Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein in applied research. It also offers support to connect research organizations with customers for the outcomes of applied research, experimental development, and innovation, i.e. with the application sphere (especially with enterprises and other entities at the national and international level) operating in various social areas.

On 5th December, an online training on scientific data management with Data Stewardship Wizard will be organized by GAČR. An internal MU seminar "How to DMP" will follow, which will take place on 10th December 2024.
