Taste the beer and how to beer tasting

On Thursday, 20 April, at 18:00 in the Spolkovna (S104) on Komenský náměstí, another lecture from the Open Beer series will take place, organized as part of the Cultural History of Beer project. Our guest will be Věra Lehovcová from the Czech Beer Institute, and her lecture will focus on the sensory perception of beer and beer tasting. Ms Lehovcová will talk about the methods and use of sensory analysis, different types of tasting and tasting methods, as well as beer defects, beer tastes and aromas. She will introduce us to the circular taste scheme, and last but not least, she will also reveal how to actually become a beer taster.
