Latin text written on an ancient curse tablet from Savaria is due to corrosion almost unreadable today. Thus, philologist (among them also Daniela Urbanová from the Department of Classical Studies) collaborated with archeologists and engeneers and used tomography to read the text.
In a new 500-page book, Fate & The Excursions of Mr Brouček. The book is the second volume in a five-volume series that will ultimately present the complete musical and dramatic works of Janáček.
Eighteen years - that's how long the faculty has been waiting for the next Chairman's Award of the Czech Science Foundation. At the end of September, Prof. Klára Šeďová from the Department of Educational Sciences of the MU Faculty of Arts, together with her team, received the award for research proving the link between pupils' knowledge and their active involvement in teaching.
