Psychological assessment is the area of psychological practice where the consenquences of a psychologist´s course of action are often serius and have profound impact on the client. Thus, we consider ethical issues of psychological assessment to be a relevant research topic. The aim of the proposed project is to identify ethical issues and problems specific for various contexts of the psychological assessment (clinical psychology settings, organizational and managerial psychology, counselling and school psychology, forensic psychology), and to explore reasoning processes applied in solving ethical dilemmas encoutered by psychologists in their practice. We will also explore ethical issues of the computer based assessment. On the basis of our findings, we will try to propose a contextually based model of the ethical reasoning within the framework of psychological assessment.
