Description | The paper is based on content analysis of foundations of education of Czech textbooks and other texts published within the discipline of foundations of education. The aim of this paper is to critically analyze the narrative discourse of textbooks and the phenomenon of impeding understanding of the discipline readers. These phenomena are simplification of theoretical concepts, unreflectiveness of methodology of educational research, artificial partitioning of education, rejection of the normative role of pedagogy, use of unclean language and the creation of simple definitions. Individual phenomena will gradually post illustrated with examples. In the end, not only try to suggest possible solutions to the given phenomena, but also formulate open a personal challenge to cooperation. |
