Description In this paper, we introduce the concept of positive education, which manifests the efforts to apply the findings of positive psychology in schooling and education. The concept offers a holistic approach to education involving both transmission of knowledge and cultural practices, and the development of personality and social resources in children and youth. We clarify the basic theoretical concept of positive education and we introduce already realized foreign programs of positive education and summarize their effectiveness. Subsequently, we present the upcoming research project, which is based on the modification of verified foreign programs and activities of positive education in the Czech education system. The main objective of the study is the introduce and verify the intervention program supporting psychological resilience, mindfulness, character strengths and well-being of pupils Czech primary schools.
