Description The topic of the speech therapy prevention is very current in the special educational practice and is discussed in the department of education and in the department of health too. This fact led to the implementation of the research in cooperation with teachers from nursery schools that have undergone the course of speech therapy prevention. The aim of the research was to analyze the competences of the teachers to stimulate the formal and substantive component of the speech, including the partial components of a personality (e.g. motor skills and perception), that are necessary for the comprehensive stimulation of the child. The performed research was also oriented to the ability of participants to perform the indicative examination of the communication ability; in this context the possibilities and the organizaiton of cooperation with counselling service and with parents were analysed. The results of the research shows that the respondents evaluated the course as beneficial.
