| Description | The poster focuses on the issues of teachers' non-verbal displays in the classroom. Non-verbal signals play a very important role in the school environment. They significantly contribute not only to the interactions between teachers and pupils and the formation of their mutual relationships, but also to the resulting efficiency of the schooling process. The topic was examined through secondary data analysis using the method of non-direct non-participant observation. Four types of teachers' non-verbal displays were observed – haptics, proxemics, gestures, and posturology. Based on their interconnectedness, a classification of three teachers' nonverbal behavior styles was created. I have named these behavior patterns as follows: a teacher's-desk-style, a board-style, and a pupil-style, according to the classroom section the teacher uses the most. |
