Description This study focuses on competitions in musical interpretation and examines these competitions from viewpoint of pupils and students of primary and secondary music schools. The study is looking for alternative approaches concerning the growth of the musical potential of gifted children. It shows that the conventual perception of competitions still satisfies mainly future professional musicians who consider its level of difficulty as suitable.
