Description This paper deals with the topic of linguistic image of autumn and St. Michael period in Waldorf kindergarten in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. It includes a brief introduction to the Waldorf approach to education. The first part of this paper contains information of chosen directions of cognitive linguistics. The second part of this paper focuses on selected linguistic illustration. It proved that selected period is experienced similarly in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. The figure of St. Michael, in this context, is shared biblical figure who inspires primarily to courage. Autumn is associated, besides generosity of fruits, with the image of the end of life, which is approached to children through the life cycle of plants.
