Description | The current Library Development Concept gives libraries an ambitious opportunity to become community place of lifelong learning. Libraries organize many educational activities for diverse target groups groups - for pupils of all grades, mums for mothers, adults in further education, seniors or socially disadvantaged users. Each of the target groups has specific educational needs. In order for the librarian to do so, he should have the knowledge of pedagogy, but also psychology, andragogy, special and social pedagogy or pedagogical communication. The post reflects research on the educational needs of learning librarians and opens up a broader discussion on the subject of the competency profile of a teaching librarian working with different target groups users. |
