| Description | The objective of the assessment of the “Potential Impacts of the Implementation of the Brno Railway Junction on the Financial Management of the City of Brno” is to identify changes in expenditures and revenues in the City of Brno budget taking into account the realization of potential territorial development in case of the implementation of the ŽUB. Important points of the assessment are selected facts resulting from the current feasibility study. The first is that the individual variants A Řeka and B Petrov, respectively their sub-axes Ax and Bx do not correspond exactly from the urban point of view with the winning designs of architectural competitions realized just for the purpose of developing the subject area of the South Center in relation to the two basic variant solutions A and B The second very important fact is the assumption of the feasibility study to include the ŽUB connection to the potential and the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic and SŽDC the expected high-speed line only in variants A, but not in variants B. Taking into account and including this connection in variants B, the investment costs increase. of the project in variants B in the range of 1/3 to 2/3 of the total investment costs (an increase of about CZK 35 billion on average), from CZK 62 billion in option A to CZK 97 billion in variant B Petrov. It is therefore an increase of the total investment costs by an average of about 56%. It is precisely this assessment that is rather an extension of the feasibility study than its own criticism, as it contains an opinion on the circumstances of the RU implementation plan which are not included in the feasibility study. |
