Description In this article, the common features and national originality of the thematic group of selected «health-disease» phraseological units with somatisms head, heart, stomach (golova, serdce, želudok) in Russian and Czech languages are revealed by means of comparative analysis. The phraseological units in the article confirm the universality of the somatic systems functioning in various languages, the presence of equivalent expressions underscores the national identity of the Czech and Russian people´ language picture of the worlds.
