Description This paper details the first results of a research study into the accuracy of written production in advanced Czech students of English. The most obvious finding to emerge from this study is that errors caused by L1 interference and fossilization errors are the most problematic areas despite the relatively high level of proficiency in advanced learners, C1-C2 according to CEFR.
