| Description | During the 13th century there was a progressive change in the social structure of the population of Bohemia and Moravia. This was primarily a consequence of the introduction of emphyteutic law and continuing colonisation. Due to the wider availability of written sources, some trends can also be observed relating to the representation of memebrs of the elite strata, such as peasant vassals, village Hermem or proclaimers. The questions of representation of the pasant strata can also be studied usány iconographic sources and archaeological findings. |
