Description The aim of this qualitative research paper was to describe how schools went through the process of adaption on the distant education. The paper is based on the data gathered from five Czech lower secondary schools during the first pandemic wave in 2020. Research findings point on crucial role of school headteachers who decide about school vision and who can employ different amount of influence to enforce it in their schools.
