Description The integration of children with a different mother tongue is a complex process. The pupils with a different mother tongue, the majority pupils, the classroom teacher, the teaching staff, the school, but also the parents of all pupils in the school need support. Each of these groups needs a different form of support. A key factor across these groups is communication. Communication needs to be clear, fair, sensitive, etc., but above all continuous. One of the surprising aspects of communicating with teachers is the fear of communicating with pupils with a different mother tongue.
