Description Entitlement support for pupils with a different mother tongue in primary school, as well as other educational levels, is different for refugee pupils from Ukraine with temporary protection (Lex Ukraina), foreign pupils who have been in the Czech education system for up to 1 year or more, and also for pupils with a different mother tongue, which includes, for example, pupils with Czech citizenship. A high-quality result of the educational process goes hand-in-hand with the high-quality support of pupils and teachers. The paper deals with the description of the difference between Czech as a mother tongue and Czech as a foreign/second language, and the eligible support options for pupils with a need to develop the language of instruction.
