| Description | The presentation brings one introduction to the topic of the reception of J. A. Comenius work in the Balkans, from the modestly penetration of this territory, first by Slovenians — at the beginning of the 18th century, thanks to the priest, translator, lexicologist and lexikographer Hipolit Novomeški — to the reception in Bulgaria — 1905, as a free premium for subscribers to the magazine „Učilišten pregled". Important were the Jernej Kopitar's and Marko Pohlin's actions and the influens of Josef Dobrovský in the Balkans too. The translator Georgios Zaviras introduced Comenius to the Greek society. In 1892, the Comenius Society (Družestvo Komenski) was founded in Bulgaria. Many autors focused Comenius' ideas on literature for children and youth (in Bulgaria Petko Račev Slavejkov in particular). Followed by the reading of the chapter XLVI (The Saints Have an Abundance of All) in Bulgarian. |
