Description The essay is a study on Francesco Paglia’s youth. Despite Pagliai was a renowned scholar of Foscolo’s Le Grazie, almost nothing was known about his friendships with Giovanni Papini, Ardengo Soffici, Dino Campana and with Giuseppe De Robertis, his war experience shared with Camillo Sbarbaro, his imprisonment, Giovanni Gentile’s support, and about his contribution, to the Italian cultural life during the post WWI. Through a first hand documentary research the study unveils the story of an uncommon youth.
