Description The treatise presents three wooden churches in the Moravian-Silesian borderlands on constructions of which dozens of spontaneously made inscriptions have been preserved. In the course of operational research carried out during the repair of the churches of St. Andrew in Hodslavice, St. Michael the Archangel in Řepiště and the Ascension of the Lord in Dolní Marklovice, three sets of inscriptions were documented between 2011 and 2023. Although the most mapped inscriptional texts date back to the second half of the 19th and the first half of the 20th centuries, their informative potential is not only beneficial to the history of the above villages and the wider region, but from a methodological point of view the inscription units can serve as comparative material in analogous cases.
