Citation
Description The Czech Republic and Austria share a relatively untouched past: both countries have actually been countries of immigration for more than half a century, but neither country sees this fact as part of its identity. The volume offers an overview of labor migration from the time of the Habsburg Monarchy to the period after 1989 and the entry of both countries into the EU. The publication deals with political and economic motives for opening up to labor migration, discourses about migration and the migrants themselves who came to the Czech Republic and Austria.
