Description The presentation covered mixed-methods research results in English learning styles of students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication at the Brno University of Technology. The paper focused primarily on the qualitative results of the research. In this part, interviews with selected students representing most frequent combinations of learning styles were analysed by means of the thematic analysis. The analysis described students´ learning strategies rooted in individual learning styles dimensions. The results brought a better understanding for students´ strategies in learning English and they also helped to reveal some of the problematic aspects involved in them. As a result, adequate pedagogic measures will be taken to reflect the research outcomes.
