Citation
Description Yevgeny Zamyatin's (1884–1937) 1920 novel My is built on the ultimate solution to humanity's problem, simply removing people's ability to imagine. People really become the declared cogs in the machine of building a better, beautiful and classless society. On the contrary, in 1863, Jules Verne wrote his idea of Paris in the twentieth century, that is, he offered his free vision of how Paris would look in 1963. Both texts are based on the context of the time, and in both there are also ideas about music. Verne is mechanical, at the beginning of the sixties of the nineteenth century he did not yet work with the vision of electricity, and Zamyatin is strictly mathematical, cybernetic - simply ruled by order and a mathematical machine. On the other hand, it is precisely in the premises of the former Research Institute of Mathematical Machines that Eva Kmentová's amazing realization can be found, and basically the entire space is conceived very ambitiously without the strict rules of contemporary turnkey architecture. How will Kmentová sound in the composition of Jan Krejčík and the Rés(O)nances collective, living in Versailles?
