| Description | The article deals with resistance in the teaching profession. It is viewed here as a resistance to change and to professional development. It can also be perceived as a positive factor and a source of new knowledge and enrichment provided that it is realized, identified and controlled. The author pays attention to the possible causes, types and manifestations of resistance to change and point out the relationship between resistance, mental health and job satisfaction. The theoretical part has been completed with partial results of a research carried out in the Czech school environment. |
