Keywords conjunction; devolopment of the Czech language; the Czech language of baroque period
Description 1/ The basic conjunction of the adversative relation is ale, its equivalent being než; 2/ the expressions však, avšak, ale však play the role of conjuction of correction of expectation (but the word však keeps the remaining rest of its adverbial meaning); 3/ adversative relation can be already signalled by the expresion předce (but still is keeping its significance of ?forwards, permanently?); 4/ the status of the cojunction leč is hypotactic (?sentences of exception?); 5/ following the Latin structure quidem ? sed/tamen appear Czech equivalents of the former (quidem): sice, ovšem, pravda, arci; 6/ in the baroque Czech the basic conjunction of correction of non-valid is becoming the conjuction nýbrž (rarely having originally the intensifying meaning); 7/ adversative conjunction alebrž is almost not being used; 8/ on the contrary rather often used conjunction anobrž has the intensifying meaning).
