Description The report concerns the relationship between the life satisfaction and physical attractiveness of young people. The research was organised in the form of taking the photos of a selected sample of 60 students attending The Faculty of Arts at The Masaryk University. The photographed students filled out the questionnaires in which they subjectively evaluated their own physical attractiveness and the degree of their own life satisfaction. The photos of the students were consequently evaluated by 60 independent raters (also students); their scores represented the value of the objective physical attractiveness for us. The main contribution of our report is the discovery, that whereas objectively attractive people attain the same level of life satisfaction like objectively unattractive people, subjectively attractive people attain higher level of life satisfaction in comparison with subjectively unattractive people.
