Description The text is split into three parts. In the first one, author characterizes background of pragmatism. He interprets the problem of continuity as the most important aspect of pragmatism and the pragmatist philosophy of education. In the second part, he specifies approaches of Dewey and of Rorty to education. In the last one, the author compares these approaches and shows why he prizes the Dewey's one more than one of Rorty.
