An interesting call for proposal has been opened for post-docs to apply for a one-year research fellowship with the possibility for extension up to two years.
The focus of the call is towards researchers in the early stage of their scientific career (at most 5 year after obtaining the doctoral degree, i.e. no earlier than 1st Sept 2019) and is not limited by a particular field of research!
Successful applicants shall be supported by a competitive financial contribution and shall arrive to Israel between November 2024 and January 2025. There, they shall perform their full time research and may as well teach a course of up to 2 teaching hours per week.
The fellowship bears a legacy of the late associate professor Ladislav Šmejda of West Bohemia University, who - apart from his remarkable interdisciplinary scientific achievements - contributed greatly to creating the strong bond between Ariel Univeristy and Czech academia.
The deadline for submission of the applications is 31st August 2024 at 12:00 IST (11:00 CEST). The assessment and declaration of the results will be done in September 2024.

We are pleased to introduce the AY2024 Winter Short-Term Intensive Japanese Program. The entire program comprises 46.7 hours of classroom instruction on Japanese language, plus 25 hours of lectures on Japanese culture and society including field trips. In this program, “Beginner” and “Elementary” level classes will be held. Students who have never studied Japanese are also welcome to join the program.

The Compostela Group of Universities (CGU) is launching the second edition of the University Walking Community 2024 (UWC) volunteering programme. The UWC 2024 is aimed at the CGU community between 18 and 30 years old who wish to volunteer for 15 uninterrupted days, from 1 August to 15 August 2024, in town halls located along the Camino Francés as it passes through the Autonomous Community of Aragon (Spain). There are 15 places available, and the selected volunteer will receive a grant in kind.
