Read the recommended study literature, start working on a term project or attend inspiring lectures at the faculty. You can use Reading Week, which begins on 15 April, to catch up on your schoolwork and broaden your horizons.
Final exams usually include questions based on the assigned literature. Although it may not look like it at first glance, it will probably take you more than one evening of reading before the exam. So it's worth starting during the semester – reading week is the perfect opportunity.
TIP: If a book is hopelessly out of print at the Central Library, check if you can find it scanned in the E-loan. At least one volume of the most requested books is also usually available for study at the library.
Completing semester assignments may be a condition for taking the final exam. Therefore, you should not underestimate them. Take advantage of the free week to do thorough research and prepare at least an essential structure for your next course of action. And who knows, you may complete the whole assignment or project.
TIP: A team study room will be helpful if it's a group project. But don't hesitate to book one; there is usually a lot of interest.
Immerse yourself in an intensive study of everything you have covered in the courses you have enrolled in. Not only will you refresh your knowledge, but you can also learn more details or context. If you come across any uncertainties, be sure to make a note of them. When you meet your teacher again next week, you can ask about them immediately. I'm sure he'll be happy to answer.
TIP: If you miss notes from a lesson, contact your older classmates. For example, you can connect with them in a Facebook group.
Explore exciting topics and areas. For example, you can visit the exhibitions, which can be found in several faculty buildings:
TIP: You can also attend some of the Teachers' Week programme lectures. This year's offer is remarkably varied.
Reading Week is a fixed part of the semester from 2023. In the autumn term 2024, it will occur during the week of 18 November and will be held in conjunction with Humanities Week.

The modern premises were created by reconstructing rooms in the basement of Building J, which formerly housed the faculty cafeteria Krmítko, and offer doctoral students quality facilities for their dissertation research. The construction and furnishing of the new rooms was funded by the MUNI4PhD project.
