Rhymed German translation of the Old Czech chronicle of so called Dalimil in the context of the Czech, Latin and German textual tradition – linguistic, literary and historical analysis; edition and commentary The members of the team The permanent members of the team will be the proposer Vlastimil Brom, the lecturer at the Department of German Scandinavian and Dutch Studies (Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University Brno), graduated in the Master Study History – German Language and Literature – (2000) and in the doctoral program Philology, specialization German language (2004) and Veronika Bromová, the scientific researcher at the Department of Czech Language (Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University Brno), graduated in the Master Study History – Czech language and Literature (2000) and in the doctoral program Philology, specialization Czech language (2006) By the specializations of the above mentioned members the main scholar fields of the project are covered, namely the diachronic linguistics (German and Czech) and History, especially the medievalistics. V. Brom's main point of interest is the German linguistics and philology, especially concerning the sources originating in Bohemian lands (Diploma thesis in History: the historical interpretation of the rhymed German Translation of Dalimil-Chronicle; the dissertation thesis: the language analysis of this text). On the Department he teaches the historical development of German, courses of Etymology and Historical Semantics etc. V. Scheirichová is also involved in historical linguistics, especially in the style (the prepared dissertation thesis: formula and style of the Czech administration texts in the 14th – 15th century). She teaches the Historical Grammar of Czech, Historical Word Formation and Syntax, Old Czech for the Students of Archive Science and Auxiliary Historical Sciences etc. |
