Citace
Popis Dancing is a complex sensorimotor activity involving physical an d mental elements which have positive effects on motor control. In recent years, there has not been a lot of research in dancing program for elderly with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) examined with Senior fitness tests. Our article focused on impact of a six - month dance - exercise intervention on total 65 healthy elderly and elderly with MCI on their motor performance. We have analysed 3 subtests from Senior fitness test: “6 min. walk test”, “Chair stand test”, and “8 foot up and go test”. Interventions ha d a positive effect on the 85 level of aerobic endurance and lower - body strength when MCI respondents improved to the same level as a healthy group. Dancing program had no positive impact on the level of dynamic balance and agility. Although the differences in the measured group of respondents are statically insignificant we still see an improvement in the level of motor skills. For the monitored group of elderly even small progress is considered to be a good result.
