Popis | This paper forfeits the opportunity to talk about specific positions, approaches, or texts in order to, instead, comment on the work of a scholar as a whole. Each scholar constitutes a body, a collective, of scholarship through their work. Each body connects to other bodies, they form relations and affect each other. Intimating the importance of thinking in terms of dynamic processes, the paper explores the ethical dimensions of intellectual work. These ethical connections and processes constitute the scholar as much as the scholar constitutes them in a constant process of work and becoming that are characteristic of each scholar. The paper does not, however, consider each scholar as an individual and a sovereign entity but, rather, as a part of the immense ethical project of the academia as an abstract space where bodies connect and work together. This work, in which the academic body finds itself always engaged, is never finished and so we, the scholars, may always find ourselves in constant movement, always at work and on the trajectory of becoming. |
