| Popis | Judith Teixeira. Complete Works. Lyric (2019, 2nd ed.), in the edition by Martim de Gouveia e Sousa, constitutes a milestone in Judithian studies. Carefully prepared by the Viseense researcher and the excellent work of Ediçoes Esgotadas, the volume under consideration stands out for its rigour, systematisation, magnificent graphic execution and for the sensitivity both in the conception of the object-book and in the choice of texts included in the publication. Besides the project of "completeness" of the Judithian lyric, it is the focus on detail that the edition of Martim de Gouveia e Sousa has prevailed over previous editions, among which the edition of Poetry and Prose by Cláudia Pazos Alonso and Fabio Mario da Silva (Lisbon, Dom Quixote, 2015). In comparison with this edition, the new edition by Gouveia and Sousa, the existence of critical procedures that Gouveia e Sousa, there are critical procedures that aim at correcting errors, justifying doubtful places and complete philological and historical-literary data. |
