Pour féliciter 2025
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University.
The Faculty of Arts MU has long been striving to improve the quality of facilities for PhD students. The workrooms opened at the beginning of the autumn semester of 2024 will offer them a place for intensive study and effective implementation of their research projects. They are equipped with advanced technologies, but their overall tuning and design allow students to work in a pleasant and relaxing environment.
The main goal of the faculty is to increase the competitiveness and employability of doctoral graduates and to help them smoothly transition to positions in scientific research. "Building new facilities for students of doctoral study programmes represents a significant investment in the future for the Faculty of Arts, as doctoral students represent the next generation of researchers who bring new ideas and perspectives to their fields of study, thus enriching the existing academic environment," summarised Iva Burešová, Vice Dean for Doctoral Studies and Quality of Study Programmes at the Faculty of Arts MU.
In its pilot operation, the doctoral school is primarily intended for students of German and religious studies. It can be accessed via ISIC based on the rights assigned to IS. Doctoral offices will also be gradually built in other faculty buildings according to project possibilities.
The reconstruction of the premises for doctoral students was supported by a total amount of CZK 3,513,220.
