This project is to be the continuation and expansion of the Electronic Library of Czech Translations of English Drama Project (KJB9164305). The previous project (currently underway in its second year) has already proved to be a valuable material; it has found its application in teaching, in theatre, and has served in producing several publications. The Electronic Library of Modern Czech Translations of English Drama Project plans to enlarge the collection to all existing translations of early English drama, and to publish the results of both projects in print (as an anthology of rare texts with critical commentary and a CD of the full-text database). An important part of the project will be a continuation of research: finding, collecting and making available manuscript translations (e.g. by František Nevrkla, Jaroslav Kraus) and translations made for individual productions in theatres.
